Tours of Newington Green Meeting House

at Newington Green Meeting House

Frontage of Newington Green Meeting House
Come and explore our elegantly renovated building and learn about the fascinating people and events that shaped its revolutionary history!

Newington Green Meeting House will re-open to the public after extensive restorative build work. For the first time the building is open to the public with tours, developed and delivered by volunteers who can share with you the history, stories and people of the building and local area. Learn more about the building and its inhabitants’ radical history, pioneering architecture and revolutionary ideas.

Tours are approximately 30 minutes long and then you are free to explore the space, exhibitions and audio guide yourselves. The building is fully wheelchair accessible. Please help us cater the tour towards your interest and needs of the group by answering all the questions when booking.

Please note that the exhibition is not available to view on December 2nd due to the rooms being used for external events. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Currently, we offer tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. From January 6th onwards, we’ll be moving to Thursdays and Fridays.

Due to the coronavirus (COVID 19), all tours will be socially distanced and tickets are limited to 6 people per tour. Please contact for larger tours from one household. Please bring a face covering as these will be mandatory – and please follow the guidelines in place throughout the building.

We also have craft activities for kids! Ask at the reception to see what is happening this week. No need to book – just pop in!

Please book your tour here:

If you are a congregant or aware of the history but just want to see the restored building/exhibition you can pop in between 12pm- 6pm on Thursdays and Fridays.

We hope you enjoy the tour!
