January and February at the Meeting House

We’re currently closed due to the new pandemic lockdown. But we’ve got a packed online events calendar coming up in January and February.

The Black Exchange will be hosting a conversation on the topic of “Black excellence” on the 16th January.

Our “Her Stories” series will be kicking off on the 27th. We’ll be asking questions like “why are there so many different types of feminist – and how has that happened?” every week until early March.

Speakers in this series will include Lola Olufemi, Pragna Patel (Southall Black Sisters), Anna Birch, Lil Warren of Unity Arts, Sistah Space, speakers from the Women’s Equality Party, the journalist and writer Angela Neustatter, and more!

This month’s initial talk will look at “Britain’s first feminist”. Coming up in February we’ll be exploring other themes like “women and work” and “identity and body politics”.

And don’t forget: Alternative Fictions will be holding an inclusive activism workshop at the start of February.
