Events at the Meeting House this Autumn
Over the next few months we have a fantastic set of events sharing radical ideas and stories, a fitting tribute to the history of the Meeting House building.
Starting off with Alternative Fictions‘s Refocus: Reclaiming the Role of Black Women in Activism in the UK : An online conversation + Q&A organised by Alternative Fictions with guests Stella Dadzie, Kayza Rose and Ife Thompson, discussing the contributions women of colour have made to our society are frequently missing from our history books.
Then throughout October The Black Exchange, in collaboration with the Newington Green Meeting House: Revolutionary Ideas project, have programmed events in response to Black History Month – which will shortly be listed on our events page.
Want to pop in and see the restored building and learn a bit about the history? Book your free tour from Mid September and get the chance to see the revolving exhibitions, until October we have VINDICATION from Unity Arts; inspired by Mary Wollstonecraft.
All these events are free but ticketed – please check the event to see if it is virtual or if they are at the Meeting House. We are now able to host events with a 40 people maximum capacity, to ensure social distancing. The Meeting House is now fully accessible and please do get in touch if there is anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable.
